Catalyzes the phosphorylation of sphingosine to form sphingosine 1-phosphate (SPP), a lipid mediator with both intra- and extracellular functions. Also acts on D-erythro-sphingosine and to a lesser extent sphinganine, but not other lipids, such as D,L-threo-dihydrosphingosine, N,N-dimethylsphingosine, diacylglycerol, ceramide, or phosphatidylinositol. SPHK1参与鞘氨醇代谢、G蛋白偶联受体蛋白信号转导途径，有抗细胞凋亡的作用，可被蛋白激酶C激活，参与细胞内信号转导级联、钙介导信号转导、调控细胞生长迁移、调控血管生成及成纤维细胞增殖。 |
