The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for activated C-kinase (RACK) protein. The encoded protein has been shown to bind in vitro to activated protein kinase C beta I. In addition, this protein is a cutaneous T-cell lymphoma-associated antigen. Finally, the protein contains a bromodomain and two zinc fingers, and is thought to be a transcriptional regulator. Multiple transcript variants encoding several different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] Subunit: Interacts in vitro with PRKCB1. Subcellular Location: Nuclear Tissue Specificity: Expressed in all tissues examined with highest expression in brain, lung, pancreas, and placenta. Expressed in cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCL). Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded (Mouse pancreas); Antigen retrieval by boiling in sodium citrate buffer (pH6.0) for 15min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum) at 37°C for 30min; Antibody incubation with (PRKCBP1) Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-19178R) at 1:400 overnight at 4°C, followed by operating according to SP Kit(Rabbit) (sp-0023) instructionsand DAB staining.
