SWISS: Q9LDR9 Gene ID: 839218 延长蛋白 extensin是存在于植物细胞壁中的羟脯氨酸(Hyp)占有高比例的糖蛋白。细胞壁中含达2—10%,Hyp占构成蛋白质的氨基酸的20%以上,在其他蛋白质中则丝氨酸(Ser)的含量高。由于可以控制植物细胞的伸展(ex-tersion),故称为伸展蛋白。在生长旺盛的幼龄期的细胞中含量少,生长速度迟缓时含量增加,因而认为具有对细胞壁不易伸展的作用。其蛋白质部分具有-ser-Hyp-Hyp-Hyp-Hyp的氨基酸序列,Hyp残基许多有3—4个阿拉伯糖所构成的寡糖;而Ser残基许多具有1—2个半乳糖。脯氨酸羟化是在肽合成后进行,催化此过程的肽基脯氨酸羟化酶需要二价铁离子,可被铁离子络合剂的a′-dipyridyl 所抑制。肽的脯氨酸羟化后,细胞器的糖链结合,被分泌到细胞外,纳入细胞壁中。 |
